Robert kicks off first qualifying in P6

LAS VEGAS, APRIL 06 2007 - Robert Doornbos enjoyed a good start of his Champ Car World Series season as he set the sixth fastest time in the first qualifying session today. Doornbos was even a top 3 contender for quite a long time, but as he didn't drove in the remaining minutes of the session, he felt back a few positions.

ROBERT DOORNBOS: "This first qualifying came a bit like a shock. Las Vegas provided us with a beautifull circuit, but we were not as competitive as we hoped for. Over the lunch me and my engineer Mick Cannon decided to change a few things and this afternoon was already an improvement. I'm pretty sure that we can do a good job tomorrow as well"
