Testreport Monza - Thursday June 15 2006
MONZA – After having suffered from food poisoning yesterday, Robert Doornbos felt completely fit to start his second day of testing with RBR at Monza. At the Italian GP-circuit Robert drove 70 laps today in which he set a fastest laptime of 1:25.080. While david Coulthard evaluated the Michelin tyres for Indianapolis, Robert testes several new aerodynamic and mechanical components in the morning session. After the lunch Red Bull Racing looked at weight distribution, before Robert finished the day with practising some starts.
ROBERT DOORNBOS: “After a good nightrest, I felt 100% this morning. The new front- and rearwing seems to do well here, so that is positive. We also succesfully tested a softer set-up for the car as we really have to jump over the kerbs in Canada. After the lunch, the team decided to try some new ideas about weight distribution. Therefore we did not managed to complete as much laps in the morning session, but we still enjoyed a productive day with both cars. I’ll stay in Italy this weekend to visit the gym, before I’ll take my flight to Montreal.”
