Robert off-track!
NÜRBURG - At the Thursday before the fifth Grand Prix of this season at the Nürburgring, all six Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso drivers were invited to take part in a off-racing experience organised by Red Bull Germany. Well invited... challenged is a better way of putting it! With Dakar winner Giniel de Villiers as their host, Robert and his colleagues had the chance to drive De Villiers' winning Volkswagen around the off-road track.
Only seconds after this experience, Robert rushed himself back to the circuit where, just like in Spa-Francorchamps last year, many fans were awaiting him in front of the RBR pitbox!
ROBERT DOORNBOS: "Wow, I really didn't expected this! At Spa things were crazy, but the same amount of fans turned up here today. Amazing! I'm definitely going to try to put all the energy the fans gave me back in the car to give them something to cheer for after tomorrow's Free Practises. Thanks guys!"
